Our history – our success

POLIPOL was founded in 1990 in Rahden, a small town near Minden. A combination of being situated in Germany's creative furniture centre, Westphalia; the highest motivation from all involved; and a great deal of entrepreneurial skill has allowed the company to grow rapidly. Thus, what was then POLIPOL GmbH has quickly turned into a group which is active throughout Europe with several subsidiaries.

The original concept is still being pursued to this day: to coordinate and develop products in Germany and to locate the production abroad. In the early years, Rahden and Zehdenick in Berlin were the focal points of the company. From here, with a total of 153 employees, the first upholstered furniture lines were put onto the market. Today, POLIPOL is a medium-sized owner-managed company with approximately 4,300 employees both in Germany and abroad.

Our innovative products, strong customer focus and flexibility make us stand out as a leading corporate group within the upholstered furniture industry. We see our task to be to develop these strengths, both in the here and now and for a successful future.

All our trading partners can find a large selection of our upholstered furniture on display in our showroom in Diepenau.

The head office of the POLIPOL group has been in Diepenau, Lower Saxony, since 2010. The group's activities, both in Germany and throughout Europe, are directed from here. Management, development, administration and customer communications are in Diepenau, while production takes place at several sites in Poland and Romania.
